I was reading through some of the posts earlier on and the thought came to me...
We have hunters and prey, whom seem to believe that wilds/branded and bulls are promotional titles so to speak, put in the work and you earn better powers/skills roles...
Would it be something to discuss possibility of expanding roles within the prey/hunter category... Not necessarily give them more powers or skills, simply for the sake of RP.
Prime example... our good ole Hobbz, Sheriff of the Residents area...
Perhaps worthy hunters earning the right to join something like a constabulary.. or prey whove proven themselves to become a tavern wench or kings maid?
Simply something to show recognition for something, be it loyalty, honor or simply worthy rp?

I agree that more expanded roles could be fun. It doesn't have to be entirely role dependent either, there could be parts that would role independent and some that wouldn't.
I don't think they even have to be all "official" as such, in a sense it's a matter of one or a few their play in a direction like that and have it build from there.
We are put under very little restrictions as to where to go with our story so we can all help shape it the way we wish. I like the idea of adding a bit more background to life here though and it being possible to go different paths

I like this idea. Even for Natives, we could use more variety in our roleplay. Prey could be tavern wenches and maids all on their own if they decide they want that... just start serving in the tavern or start cleaning the King's Compound. Perhaps the King could assign the positions of tavern keep and housekeeper.

/me scratches his head thinking ....
Well.... i don't see being a bull to be a promotion... it's a different role. It's needed, of course, and for such reason the seeker look for and find hunters fit for that role...
Honestly i have too much fun as an hunter, to change the role...
On the other hand the idea of create roles inside the comunity with tasks and such is good. For me i prefer to keep my mistakes mine alone, so i probably will be a simple hunter all life long ^__^

I guess that's the problem. Those who are creative are content in whatever role they have, doing things like going to the Healer for treatment of a bite. Or if not content, they find a way to be, by going around and stealing things from Hunters or making wine from a handful of grapes. Those who aren't creative would never think of doing such things.

Yeah, when the idea of a Sheriff role came along, I knew it was up to me to make it into something fun. Nobody was going to tell me how to do it, I had to figure it out myself. The key in my mind was to let it evolve and try different things while still being a hunter first.
Other hunters have done the same thing without a title. Look at brother Smurf!
I'm always thinking about what can I do to contribute to the world and add to others' fun.

I like the idea of getting the tavern and Kings Compound more involved somehow. There's potential there that haven't really been tapped into much yet.
I think that maybe it's also a matter of just making people aware that they are free to (and welcome to!) add some spice to the way they play there role and the amount of freedom there actually is. They don't have to wait for "official" confirmation to go ahead and play it. Obviously they need to keep their basic role in mind, but with a bit of common sense there is a lot of freedom.

Honestly i have too much fun as an hunter, to change the role... If you talk nicely to Hobbs, I'm sure the title of Village Idiot can be established among the Resident Hunters.
Actually I think the idea is for people to take on the role and make it their own. Any prey is free to establish herself as a tavern wench, or a maid in the compound. Just start playing there and call yourself that.
Should a hunter start singing everywhere he goes, then he must also be a bard, yes?
We can't see titles on Agapeo anyway, so establishing a new title for someone would be pointless. But use your imagination and make the role yours.

For sure! I'd love to see more of that sort of self-applied titles. If you take it and run with it chances are it will catch on before long and soon it's part of Agapeo history. It doesn't really take much, if you do it consistently for a little while it'll spread like rings in the water

Great thread! I like the idea of people showing their creative side. Personally, I don't have a creative bone in my body, so I have to be given detailed instructions. But we do have some really creative people here in Agapeo.
I'm now taking applications for "Bull Wench" She'll need to clean up the messes that Yummy leaves (thanks for dropping a deuce in my lean-to) and cater to the needs of my fellow Bulls when we are resting in the ruins.

I thought that was yours! But at least you have plenty of toilet paper to clean up with...
