Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be?
– Marianne Williamson

I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells. Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living, it's a way of looking at life through the wrong end of a telescope. Which is what I do, and that enables you to laugh at life's realities. Dr. Seuss

From the movie "It happened One Night" (1934)
"Peter Warne: I want to see what love looks like when it's triumphant. I haven't had a good laugh in a week."

Even when a girl is as shy as a mouse, you still have to beware of the tiger within.

When you'll be able to be infinitely tender with the ones you care for, and infinitely cruel with the ones you don't care for, then you're a man (not mine but it doesn't have a specific author)

Some of my faves:
"I love it when a plan comes together." - Hannibal Smith
"No one can make you feel inferior without your permission." - Eleanor Roosevelt
"Growing up doesn’t mean always making the right decisions. It means living with the choices you’ve made." - A friend
"To change the very fiber of a person to fit your own image and maintain personal insecurities for the express purpose of furthering narcisitic endeavor is not only wrong, it’s immoral." – A friend
Girl: Everything about you is a lie. Man: It wasn’t lies, “Girl”. It was acting. -- Unknown
"A perfect slave cannot exist, because a slave that really serves in the way she's meant to be, is always learning, always growing. She is forever trying to be that much better for her owner, because when she is doing that, she is pleasing. And her will to please is far greater than perfection. - A friend
"Be who you are and say what you feel; Because those who mind, don't matter and those who matter, don't mind." -Dr. Suess
"Sometimes people build walls not to block others out of their life but to see who cares enough to break through the wall." Unknown

And because it's SO funny:
The most unfair thing about life is the way it ends. I mean, life is tough. It takes up a lot of your time. What do you get at the end of it? A death. What's that, a bonus? I think the life cycle is all backwards. You should die first, get it out of the way. Then you live in an old age home. You get kicked out when you're too young, you get a gold watch, you go to work. You work forty years until you're young enough to enjoy your retirement. You do drugs, alcohol, you party, and you get ready for high school. You go to grade school, you become a kid, you play, you have no responsibilities, you become a little baby, you go back into the womb, you spend your last nine months floating... you finish off as an orgasm. - George Carlin

Yummy - that reminds me of something Rodney Dangerfield wrote. This is from the end of his autobiography (the last line is hilarious):
